What is a Conservation District? Each county has a conservation district office except Philadelphia. These offices are led by local volunteer directors and staff who live and work in your community to address local conservation problems.

Pennsylvania recently celebrated “Conservation District Week”, an opportunity to showcase conservation district projects,” stated Brenda J. Shambaugh, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts. “District staff work every day to improve the lives of our Commonwealth’s citizens.”
